Please join us for the summer’s best day camp: Sonoma Naturalist Ecology Camp, a.k.a. SoNat!
Our environmental educators are recruiting a small group of naturalist youths (ages 9-13) who are interested in taking deep dives into some of Sonoma Valley’s many habitats, from oak woodlands to riparian streambanks. SoNat is a five-part day camp repeating each Monday at a new location in Sonoma Valley—outdoor spaces such as Montini Overlook Trail, Maxwell Creek, Nathanson Preserve or Sonoma Garden Park. Activities will include hiking, animal tracking, nature journaling, game playing and more as campers hone their naturalist skills.
SoNat is for kids ages 9-13. Camp meets every Monday, 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., from July 13 to Aug. 10. Cost per camper is $290, and scholarships are available to qualifying families.

All naturalists will need masks, clothing, and shoes appropriate for action, a hat, backpack with snack and lunch, water bottle, journal, and a pencil. Optional: a small foam cushion like those used in the garden, binoculars, bug box, colored pencils or pens.
