What better way to spend a summer morning than to learn about our native trees and especially to enjoy their cooling shade. Sugarloaf has as many as 15 different native trees and we’ll find as many as we can, learning how to recognize different species and their unique characteristics. Families welcome. Hike is approximately 2.5 mostly level miles. Wear sturdy walking shoes, and bring plenty of water, a snack, and lunch to enjoy on the Visitor’s Center deck. Lemonade and cookies will be provided. Also, bring something to sit on and colored pencils or crayons, if you have them.
