The growing season is here, and that means Sonoma Garden Park is kicking off its seasonal Harvest Market, open every Saturday morning from now through October.
Fresh vegetables, flowers, eggs, olive oil and more are available for sale in the Straw Bale Barn. At the same time, Sonoma County’s highly knowledgeable Master Gardeners will be on hand to answer your gardening questions.
What’s the best way to control aphids? How can I grow the most delicious tomatoes? What are some recommended drought-resistent plants? Bring these or any other questions to the Master Gardeners to take advantage of this free resource. Then buy some fresh groceries and stroll Sonoma Garden Park’s lovely six-acre grounds with its walking paths, bee garden, fig grove, chicken coop, native plant nursery, community garden plots, low-impact design features and much more.
Green thumbs, locavores, and outdoor lovers of all kinds will love spending Saturday morning in this hidden gem of a city park southeast of downtown Sonoma.
